1) It's extremely safe. I have walked home from the city center a number of times, close to midnight, and other people were walking as well. I never felt threatened or in danger.
2) Very clean. I have yet to see a city this big as clean as this one. I think Denver would come kind of close.
3) Great public transport. It's simple to get around and it's relatively cheap.
4) Good mix of cultures
5) Great bakeries
6) Amazing cafes
The rest such as the history and the architecture and art are also notable...
Let me tell you what I did today:
1) Woke up at around 9:30... good sleeping in. I went for a sunny 9k run around the lake by the house I'm staying at. *This was my first encounter with nude sunbathing... kinda traumatic...*
2) I did my laundry
3) I helped Cay cook
4) I went to Mass in the city center
5) I went to a choir practice (I'm playing Mass at Stefansplatz tommorow night at 7pm)
What was most great about my day was the fantastic food I had:
(I know it's weird I'm listing what I ate, but I think you'll find it interesting...)
1) Siopao (A filipino sticky bun filled with meat)
2) Kaseleberkaesesemmel (Ok, its a long word and I think Jun may be messing with me, but it's a bun with a hunk of sausage in the middle)
3) A Milka chocolate bar
4) Topfenkolatsche (a croissant filled with sweet cream cheese)
5) Pasta salad (feta cheese, penne pasta, tomatoes, fresh basil, grilled chicken)
6) Spaghetti
7) Palabok (Filipino noodle dish)
I am so full... Thank you Lord for all this food. Ok, I'm about to crash... peace...
